The Lounge Bar
The large and comfortable lounge bar offers plenty of seating and features a games corner, where you can enjoy traditional pub games such as Jenga, chess, backgammon and dominos, and there is also the pub dart board.
You can order your choice of real cask conditioned ales, or wide variety of other drinks, at the pub's bar.
The Alex also offers proper pub food served from 12.30-7.00 p.m. every day.

Our friendly cat, Tommy George, can often be found curled up in the lounge bar.
Tommy is a popluar feature at The Alex, he even has regular visits from some of our customers, known as 'Tommy Tourists'!
